This picture shows proof of how powerful love can be. It can drive a man to fly all the way to New York just to be with his love. There are so many things that wouldn’t have happened to me if it wasn’t for the brony community - you guys have been nothing but great. These are the reasons I love you guys. There have been ups and downs, but everyone has their days. I’m here to go all the way, I will never leave this fandom even if it dies off… It has taught me new things and given me a purpose in life. If it wasn’t for you guys… I really don’t know where I would be right now. So again I thank you all for giving me a purpose in life and giving me the courage to ask the woman of my dreams to be with me. There are a few people I would like to thank personally:

1. The family

Without them I wouldn’t have started to play games on a computer or even hang out online. These are there names John Cakebear, Curiousjorge, Emerylaflame, Pickle, and lastly the founder of The Family, Ellett Zero… But most importantly John Cakebear. He introduced us to a girl named Bree. I thought she would become part of the Family but that didn’t happen. We played Minecraft with her for like two days I think and then we never talked to her again. She was included in the group but she was incredibly quiet. This happened the same month I started to become a brony, which leads me to the next person (or should I say duo).

2. Saberspark/Paleo

These guys are the reason I became a brony (more Saber than Paleo, but Paleo was a significant contributor).  I saw their web show, Brony Breakdown, for the first time and I was like “Man… There is a lot going on in this brony community.” But I also thought that if I joined it I would have been made fun of. Then I came across Sabers famous video. Yeah. That one. “The Balled of the Brony”. The night  I saw it I was the happiest I’ve ever been up until that point in time. And I was right about being made fun of. I came out as being a brony shortly after seeing that video, and I told my friends. They made fun of me for it but I didn’t care. The video gave me hope. But because I didn’t know any other bronies, I was looking for someone to talk to. I found out that Bree was one out of pure chance. I came to her and the first thing I typed to her ever was. “Do you know what a brony is?” She replied. “Yes. I am one.” My mouth dropped.  I was so happy! I said out loud and in the IM, YES! I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE! And she was surprised too! I was more of a brony than she was back then, but at least I had someone to talk to. And then it happened. TOASTY! happened.

3. TOASTY!

TOASTY! Is a Skype chat I became included in a long time ago that is still active today. It started when I was watching Saber’s Livestream “Go Time!” I just recently added him on Skype. He announced to the chat “I feel like playing some team fortress 2,” So he mentioned that if anyone wanted to be involved in the game, that they should tell him on Skype… So I did.  I was added to a chat. It didn’t have a name at the time. There were so many people… I thought to myself “All these bronies.. I’m really not alone!” with the biggest smile on my face. So I began to interact with them and we all started to talk about lots of things, not just pony-related stuff, but other stuff as well. A person by the name of Shrpsho0ter Put up a pic of a girl named Hanako from the game Katawa Shoujo. She is known for the burn marks and scars over half of her body. The people in-chat said she looks very toasty. So I think ether Shrp, PhunkyMat, Flutterguy or Saber put the name TOASTY! The name stuck. The members of TOASTY! were people from all around the globe. Some live in the United states and Canada, others live scattered around the world in places like Germany, the UK, Mexico, and Sweden. We all became great friends though the months we talked. People were added to the chat to give it a little bit of new life and things grew from there. One of those people was Bree. I asked her if she wanted to join, but she was reluctant to join such a large group with so many people.. She was extremely shy and reserved back then (she was a living Fluttershy, I swear.). Eventually I convinced her to join and she became a part of TOASTY! I finally got her to come out of her shell and interact with the group, and things kept moving on. Shortly after I graduated high school I was in a call with Bree. I thought to myself about how I had never talked to a Tumblr artist by the name of Mixi before, so I asked Bree if I could add Mixi to the call and she said “Sure, but I’m going to mute my mic..”. So I said ok. This is where Mixi and Kyle come in.

4. Mixi & Kyle/YAC

We were in the call for awhile and Mixi asked if she could add her boyfriend Kyle, so we said yes. “Add anyone you want”. She added Kyle and I introduced myself and Bree to him. Later in the call they asked us if we were together and I said “who?” Kyle chuckled and responded “you and Bree, are you together?”. This made me and Bree blush. Hard. I’ve never been in a relationship so I’ve had no experience with girls at all. We both said “Nononononooonono.” Hehe… He said “Well why not?” “Because I live in Texas and she lives in New York… It wouldn’t work; we were too far away from each other anyway.” He said “So what? I live in Michigan and Mixi lives in Australia but we’re still together.” At the time I didn’t know what to say. I was VERY iffy on the subject because it’d never come up before. So that night I began to think about Bree and how she was, how she acted and how great she was as a friend. I thought to myself “… Could this happen?… Could this feeling….  Uuuhhh..” I was unsure. I kept it to myself at first, but after awhile it got to me. I had to admit to myself that I liked her. I didn’t know what to say though. I tried to leave hints here and there for her to pick up to see if she could put it together. One night I said. “uh…… How do you tell a person that you like them?…” She with replied with. “…..Wait….hold on a sec… Are you talking about me????”. And I said “…Yes….” And she freaked out out because apparently she had been feeling the same way about me! And I asked her if I could be her boyfriend. She said yes. Right then I knew things In my life just got 90% cooler! Over the months we bonded and became much closer. I’ve never met someone who is everything I want until now… And we’re very happy… I’ve never felt love before I met her.. She is amazing… My only one. The only one for me. She was.. no. She is my purpose in life. If I can make her happy, my life will be complete. But as I thought that I also thought to myself “how am I supposed to do that from Texas?…” So I started to make some money to try to buy her some nice things. For instance was on her birthday I sent her some flowers and she loved them! We wanted to be closer to each other.. But how would we do that? I was out of school but she is not and I’ve been looking for a job… Then here came opportunity.

5. Silverstreak

He is a late member of TOASTY! added by Shrpsho0ter. He began to get very close to Bree as a friend and he wanted to see her happy just like I did, so one day he sent me a message. He asked “if you had a chance to go visit Bree would you?” I said “IN A HEART BEAT!” He said “Ok. I’m going to give you 1000 dollars to go visit Bree.” My mouth dropped… I didn’t know what to say.. I was shocked. I asked him why he was doing this. He said “I just want to see her happy like you do.” That was good enough for me… Although I changed up his plans a little bit, which he was not happy about. I was supposed to go visit her; I wanted to move up to New York to live near her so that we could be closer, but my plan failed if you can even call it a plan. I went up to New York and surprised Bree just the way I was going to do in the beginning. I soon realized my plan wasn’t going to work. I thought I could live on 1000 dollars, but I was sadly mistaken. It was a stupid pipe dream. At least it was then. Maybe later on in life it will become a reality but until then it’s a pipe dream. I couldn’t stay. I was there for two weeks and they were the best Two weeks of my life. I’ve never felt love so close to me like that. I ran out of money short after I got there because I was recklessly spending money on me and Bree. I knew I would have to find a way home soon. I got a hold of my parents and they said they would buy a bus ticket so I could come home. It was $250USD, so now I am in debt to my parents for the money they spent to get me home. I will work and pay them back their money. Despite everything that happened, it was worth it. Now I know what love is and how it feels to be with the person you truly love. We were so happy. And because of that we are now closer. It was also a wakeup call. If 1000 dollars was gone that fast, any amount of money could be gone that fast. So I’m going to learn how to budget and save and spend money better. I’m also going to be working and going to my dad’s trade school. If we don’t make decisions based on emotions… is it really Love? There is a difference between emotions and impulsiveness. I acted on my love for Bree and also because I thought I had a solid plan (even though it backfired in my face later on).. But I got out of my big mess and I’ve learned from it. Still I will always say it was worth it. See where the brony community has brought me? I have new friends, the love of my life… And it all started because of my friends and a community of people from show about talking Technicolor ponies. See…

The little things in life are the most important. They can take you anywhere and make you do things you never thought you’d do. To the people that helped me get where I am today: I thank you will every part of my being. You’ve made a massive impact on someone’s life. Though when you really think about it.. That’s always the case. I’m just telling you how you’ve helped me. And I just want to thank you all! My Friends! My Foes! The brony community! It’s because of you! You have given my life Meaning! I want to just go and hug you all right now but I’m held back by this computer screen. It won’t take my money.
